All colour changes the hair to some degree, especially lightening. Your hair’s condition is checked first, and bond-protecting products and staged lightening are used where needed to keep it strong.
Root touch-ups are usually every four to six weeks. Balayage grows out softly, so many clients refresh it every three to four months.
It’s usually best to colour first and do keratin afterwards. If you’ve already had keratin, mention it at your consultation so your colour can be timed correctly.
A patch test is recommended before colouring, especially if it’s your first time or you’ve had a reaction before. Ask for one when you book.
